Senior System Administrator for NetNordic’s Growing SOC Platform Team!

NetNordic is strengthening its Cyber Security Platform team and is seeking a Senior System Admin to play a key role in the architecture, evolution, and long-term scalability of our Private Cloud and Cyber security platform infrastructure.

This position is designed for an experienced professional who brings deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and the ability to drive platform development in a complex, security-critical, Artificial Intelligence enriched environment.

You will collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and infrastructure architects to design, modernize, and continuously improve the core data systems powering our SOC(Security Operations Center) services. Beyond implementation, you will contribute to technical direction, best practices, and platform reliability at scale.

Location: Turku, Finland (hybrid work with flexibility for remote work)

What we expect

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in system development and/or infrastructure engineering

• Strong experience with virtualization and storage technologies

• Deep expertise in Linux environments in production-scale systems

• Solid experience with container technologies such as Docker and LXC

• Advanced experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack

• Experience with search and analytics engines (e.g., Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, Algolia, Sphinx or similar technologies)

• Experience in large-scale document-oriented databases

• Strong written and spoken English

Your Role

• Autonomously impact and mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the SOC Platform team

• Ensure platform security, reliability, and performance in line with SOC operational requirements

• Participate and influence in long-term roadmap planning and technical strategy

• Design and development of our automated, scalable, and secure Private Cloud platform

• AI utilisation to the system design and infrastructure

• Drive architectural decisions related to Linux-based infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and large-scale data systems

• Optimize and evolve search and analytics platforms supporting high-volume data environments

• Strengthen automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure-as-code implementations

Considered an Advantage

• Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, Go, or similar)

• Experience in database architecture and performance optimization

• Deep understanding of secure development and DevSecOps principles

• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring team members

• Background spanning system administration, platform engineering, and development
